Fender Made in Japan FSR Traditional 60s Jazz Bass Vintage White Description Condition: New A meticulously crafted FSR model combining popular specifications from the transitional period around 1966! This instrument is an FSR (Fender Special Run) model produced based on a special request from Ikebe Gakki. We commissioned it as a specification that offers excellent value for money, incorporating unique character into standard specifications. The Made in Japan Traditional Jazz Bass is crafted based on US body and neck designs, featuring lightweight basswood for the body. The pickguard material and color have been recreated based on US-made components, and the classic 9.5-inch radius U-shaped maple neck, paired with vintage-style frets, delivers the exceptional playability characteristic of the Traditional series. Furthermore, the pickups—the heart of the sound—utilize Alnico 5 magnets, resulting in a finish that closely approximates a vintage tone. This FSR model pays homage to the highly popular 1966 era—a time when wood configurations and designs were evolving throughout the 1960s and 70s—featuring a rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and binding along the sides, along with paddle-style tuners, commonly known as “lollipop” tuners. Furthermore, the addition of a pickup guard, bridge guard, and finger rest gives it a look reminiscent of vintage Custom Shop designs. This series embodies Japan’s solid guitar craftsmanship, rich in advanced technology, and our commitment to flexibly meeting the needs of players. This is a limited-production model, so don’t miss out! *Image is for illustrative purposes only. Due to the nature of the product, the grain and color of each instrument will vary.
