I stripped off the very little remaining Japanning and re-Japanned it using Stanley's factory recipe and baked it 5 times to set the Japanning. The is some pitting on the left side of the plane and the pictures make it look a lot worse than it really is. The old dark rosewood tote and knob show their original patina. The tote has a nicely repaired crack and the knob has a hairline crack that you can barely see, but is still in great shape and shows a nice bead around the base. All in all a very nice 150 year old plane. Condition: Used. Category: Collectibles › Tools, Hardware & Locks › Tools › Carpentry, Woodworking › Planes. Brand: Stanley.
