Description [Used] Fender Japan / Jazz Bass JB75-90US US Lake Placid Blue A Jazz Bass in a custom color—commissioned by a former distributor—has arrived. Based on the JB75-90US model, which replicates mid-70s specifications and features USA-made pickups, this instrument was produced as a limited-edition color run ordered by Kanda Shokai, the Japanese distributor at the time (up until the spring of 2015). It features an ash body, a maple neck, and a maple fretboard with binding and pearloid block inlays. It also incorporates a 3-bolt neck joint equipped with a "Micro-Tilt" adjustment mechanism. Compared to 60s-style Jazz Basses, this model offers a punchier sound with a stronger attack, making it well-suited for slap playing. It is equipped with two USA Vintage Jazz Bass pickups, delivering a thick, focused tone with excellent clarity. There is a significant area of paint loss on the elbow contour, as well as a finish crack at the neck joint. Throughout the instrument, there are various minor scuffs and dents of different sizes, and the hardware shows signs of dulling. The truss rod is nearly at its limit; however, the neck is currently in good condition, and there are no issues that hinder playability. Although this instrument shows signs of use, it has been fully maintained and cleaned by our in-house repair center and offers excellent playability.
