Style number 8S3388 suggests these were a special make up order back in the day. The good is that they’re rare and in a hard to find wide size and the burgundy shell cordovan has lustrous natural patina that only comes with age. The bad is that while technically wearable, they do need a lot of work - could stand for a resole, the collar piping is shot, and there’s a minor scratch on one toe (could be buffed out, just pointing it out), and a small crease/gash on the the right shoe - see photos. Some say old shell does this and might not be worth investing in. I’ve conditioned them with safir products and brushed them to determine they are not only beautiful but moist and supple despite their age. Only reason I’m selling is I was lucky enough to find a cleaner pair in the same size - just looking to recoup my investment and pass these along to someone else who respects quality heritage footwear and wants to take on a cool project.Shoes only, bags and trees not included.
