Both are adorned with the signature Shiny BriteMICA GLITTER designs. This listing is for a SET OF 2 vintage HAND BLOWN MERCURY GLASS Christmas Ornaments crafted by the well-known American brand SHINY BRITE. These ornaments are made from a thin, blown glass that is internally coated with a reflective silvering solution (historically containing silver nitrate, not actual mercury) to create a metallic sheen, giving them the "mercury glass" appearance. The ornaments are a creamy iridescent ivory tone with bold hot pink accents. Both are adorned with the signature Shiny Brite MICA GLITTER designs.Shiny Brite ornaments were produced in the United States starting in the late 1930s by Max Eckardt, becoming a staple of American Christmas decorations during the mid-20th century. Shiny Brite ornaments are highly sought-after collectibles due to their historical significance and charming mid-century aesthetic. Authentic vintage Shiny Brite ornaments often feature crimped, scalloped metal toppers that may be stamped with "Made in U.S.A." or "Shiny Brite." The ornaments measure approximately 3 inches in height including hanging loop and just over 2.25 inches in width. Silver toned ornament metal toppers are embossed "Shiny Brite " and "Made in U.S.A." The ornaments show evidence of use but are in very good vintage condition. The embossed Shiny Brite crowns are in excellent vintage condition.
