The serial number on the headstock (S7~) and the serial number on the body neck pocket (S9~) are different. This is a Fender Precision Bass believed to be from around 1977-1980. The difference in serial numbers between the headstock and the body neck pocket suggests the neck and body may be from different instruments but the details are unknown. The pickups appear to be original but the date cannot be confirmed. However the overall specifications are those of the late 1970s to around 1980. This Precision Bass has an ash body maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
