These tiny white leather lace-up shoes clearly lived a full life before being carefully tucked away and saved. There is heavy wear to the toes including a hole in one shoe, scuffing, cracking to the leather, discoloration, and age-related condition throughout. Some treasures tell their story all on their own—and these certainly do. Vintage Sears Roebuck & Co. Honeysuckle baby shoes, dating approximately to the 1940s–1950s, complete with their original retail display box. These tiny white leather lace-up shoes clearly lived a full life before being carefully tucked away and saved. The shoes show extensive wear consistent with actual use over time—far beyond what you’d expect from a single child. There is heavy wear to the toes including a hole in one shoe, scuffing, cracking to the leather, discoloration, and age-related condition throughout. Rather than detracting, the wear gives them a wonderful sense of history and family use. Original box is included and remains unopened for several years. The clear plastic cover has become brittle with age and has developed cracks, dents, and areas where it appears adhered to the box itself over time. We have chosen not to attempt opening or separating the plastic to avoid causing additional damage. Some collectors may choose to attempt preservation methods, but we’ll leave that decision to the next caretaker.
