An alder body provides the balanced, resonant foundation behind its signature voice, while a trio of Player Series Alnico V single-coil pickups delivers sparkling highs, musical midrange and articulate low-end response. The Modern C maple neck is capped with a 9.5”-radius slab rosewood fingerboard finished with rolled edges and 22 medium-jumbo frets, ensuring a smooth, comfortable playing feel with warm, balanced response. Anchored by a two-point synchronized tremolo and available in a suite of finishes ranging from Fender staples to rare archival colors, the Player II Stratocaster is built to keep pace with the demands of modern playing while preserving the sound, feel and style that made the Strat a classic. Alder Body for Balanced Tone and Resonance The Player II Stratocaster starts with an alder body, a longtime Fender favorite known for its balanced tonal character and consistent response. Its clear lows, articulate midrange and open high-end detail provide an ideal foundation for the Stratocaster’s naturally expressive voice, allowing chords to ring with clarity while preserving note definition in lead passages. The Strat’s iconic contoured double-cut body rests naturally against the player whether seated, standing or performing on stage, contributing to the effortless comfort that has long been a hallmark of the design. Finished in gloss polyester, it delivers the timeless look players expect from a Fender while offering the durability required for years of regular use. Modern C Maple Neck With Rolled Fingerboard Edges for Effortless Playability The maple neck is carved to Fender’s comfortable Modern C profile, striking an easy balance between speed and support across a wide range of playing styles. A satin urethane finish promotes effortless movement up and down the neck, while the slab rosewood fingerboard offers balanced warmth and a smooth, tactile playing surface. Rolled fingerboard edges ensure a broken-in feel from the first chord, creating an immediately familiar playing experience. Combined with a 9.5" radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets, the design accommodates everything from open-position rhythm work to wide bends and expressive lead playing with equal ease. Player Series Alnico V Pickups for Iconic Strat Chime and Versatility A trio of Player Series Alnico V single-coil pickups delivers the clarity, chime and dynamic response that have defined Stratocaster tone for generations. Sparkling highs, musical midrange and focused low-end response give the guitar its signature articulation and expressive character, while the five-way selector switch unlocks a wide range of usable tones. The neck pickup produces warm, glassy cleans, the bridge pickup adds focused bite and articulation, and the in-between positions deliver the scooped, quack-like textures that Strat fans love. Separate tone controls for the neck/middle and bridge pickups provide additional flexibility, making it easy to fine-tune everything from shimmering rhythm sounds to more focused lead voices. 2-Point Tremolo and Vintage-Inspired Hardware for Expressive Control The Player II Stratocaster pairs classic Fender vibrato performance with modern hardware refinements designed for dependable everyday use. Its two-point synchronized tremolo offers a smooth, responsive feel for subtle shimmer and more expressive pitch effects, while bent steel saddles contribute to the Strat’s characteristic attack and resonance. Fender ClassicGear tuning machines combine vintage-inspired aesthetics with an updated gear ratio that allows for precise adjustments and reliable tuning stability. A synthetic bone nut further supports consistent tuning performance, creating a hardware package built to handle rehearsals, recording sessions and live performances alike. A Timeless Stratocaster Refined for Today’s Players The Fender Player II Stratocaster electric guitar captures the sound, feel and visual identity that have made the Strat a staple of modern music while incorporating thoughtful refinements aimed at contemporary musicians. From its resonant alder body and articulate Alnico V pickups to its comfortable Modern C maple neck, slab rosewood fingerboard and stage-ready hardware, every element is designed to encourage confident, expressive playing. Familiar from the moment it’s plugged in yet refined in all the right places, the Player II Stratocaster delivers the versatility, comfort and unmistakable Fender character that continue to inspire new generations of players.
