The middle layer is lighter and more porous, designed to hold water and dish soap, dispensing a little bit with every squeeze. The top layer is a mild scrubbing pad for when you need a little scour power. They are 6 in long, two and a half inches wide, and 1 and 1/2 in thick. They are designed with a groove molded into both sides for easy gripping. They're long enough that some people like to cut them in half to get two sponges out of one. However you use them, they are designed to last a good long while, unlike the ones you buy in the dollar store that come apart after one or two uses in hot water. The facial sponges were made in Greece. They have a finger groove which I show in the last photo. You can see their dimensions in the photos. These are the last of my stock of sponges from Stanley Home Products. Please see the pictures for a complete description, and thank you for your consideration. Condition: New.
