This brace is NOT marked Bell System, which may be why it is so clean. Braces were reassembled using synthetic oil and grease. This one ticks like a fine Swiss watch. Superb Stanley 2101a hand brace. I restored well over 150 braces from 2015-2024 and this is the one I kept for my own.Last two photos are of how Stanley 2101’s were taken apart and cleaned, especially of the dreaded green gook. Braces were reassembled using synthetic oil and grease. This one ticks like a fine Swiss watch. There are two marks on the pad, see photo, probably from some type of pressure or storage. The rest of the brace was so good it didn’t matter to me. Looking at the jaws and internal parts I don’t think it was ever used. Moving into a condo, so that is the beraces demise.Please look closely at all photos for full description before placing your bid, or buying, Thank You.Photos are high resolution so you should be able to see condition of tool.
