Based on the pot dates and neck pocket dates, this instrument is determined to be from the 1990s.A classic Jazz Bass with an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It features two iconic single-coil pickups and a rare stacked two-knob configuration for a '62 model.The neck bears the stamp of master luthier Herbie Gastelum, and is characterized by its smooth and reliable neck feel. This is one of the highly acclaimed American Vintage series.Overall, there are noticeable scratches, dents, and paint reaction marks, but there is no damage that significantly impairs the condition, and the appearance is clean for its age. There is stand burn on the body end and a slightly noticeable paint reaction mark on the back of the neck at the 8th fret.The neck shows slight twisting and high bow, but this does not significantly affect playability. The string height is currently set at approximately 2.5mm on the 4th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side at the 12th fret. The frets have approximately 70% remaining overall.
