DescriptionFender American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass 2-KNOB 1995-1996 Used Electric Bass [AUTH]Fender American Vintage '62 Jazz Bass 2-Knob (1995-1996) This model recreates a Jazz Bass from around 1962, employing a material configuration reminiscent of early 1960s Jazz Basses: an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fingerboard. Its most distinctive feature is the "2-Knob" configuration, which features two stacked knobs instead of the usual three. This replicates the control layout used in early Jazz Basses from around 1960-62, allowing for independent volume and tone control for each pickup. While typical Jazz Basses have two volume controls and one master tone control, this model features separate volume and tone controls for the neck and bridge pickups, allowing for individual control of both volume and tone for each pickup.Even when mixing two pickups, the tonal balance between the front and rear pickups can be finely adjusted, resulting in a simple yet incredibly deep sound. This bass features two 1960s Jazz Bass-style single-coil pickups.Based on the thick, moderately sustained bass sound produced by the alder body and rosewood fingerboard, the adjustable volume and tone controls of the front and rear pickups allow for versatile playing styles, from fingerstyle to pick playing. Furthermore, the vintage-style basic specifications of a 7.25-inch radius, 20 frets, and 34-inch scale are also appealing. This bass offers a moderately rounded neck feel and a vintage playing experience that differs from modern Jazz Basses. With its look and specifications inspired by the original 1962 Jazz Bass, and reproduced with the quality only a USA-made instrument can provide, it has a different charm from the current American Vintage II.This is a recommended instrument not only for those seeking a classic vintage-style Jazz Bass, but also for players looking for a particularly rare American Vintage with two stacked knobs. [Condition] There are scratches, dents, tarnishing, and rust on the parts due to use and age. The truss rod has ample adjustment range in both tightening and loosening directions for neck adjustment. The neck has been adjusted to be almost flat. The nut shows signs of replacement, but the cutting is very skillful and appears to be professional work. 【SPEC】 Body Material: Alder Neck Material: Maple Neck Shape: C Neck Warp: None Fret Life: Approximately 70% Nut (Material/Width): Bone / Approximately 38mm Tuners: Vintage Type Reverse Scale Length: Approximately 864mm Bridge: Vintage Jazz Bass Spiral Saddle Pickups: (Neck) '60s Jazz Bass Style Single Coil / (Bridge) '60s Jazz Bass Style Single Coil Controls: (Neck) Volume / Tone, (Bridge) Volume / Tone Truss Rod: Ample adjustment range in both tightening and loosening directions Accessories: Original Hard Case Serial No.: V095570 *Please check the photos for the condition of the exterior. * The string height is set to a standard value. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate a lower string height than indicated due to the condition of the nut grooves and neck. * Active and electro-acoustic models are shipped with batteries installed.
