The SR Standard body boasts that iconic, sculpted shape that seems to naturally hug your body without ever getting in the way of your performance. Its SR5 neck features a narrow nut and thin contour, aiding in quick string skipping and moving up and down the fretboard with ease. Veritable sonic potential The electronics onboard the SR Standard SR305E deliver a huge palette of bass tones. Ibanez outfitted these SR Standard 5-string electric bass guitars with an active 3-band preamp that also features a 3-way Power Tap switch. These electronics harness the power of the bass's PowerSpan Dual Coil neck and bridge pickups while adding plenty of tone-shifting options. The Power Tap switch changes between humbucking and single-coil performance, plus a blend of the two to further extend the SR Standard SR305E’s tonal range.Ibanez: a brief history Ibanez began its life in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company didn’t get into the guitar business until 1929, when it started importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began building Spanish acoustic guitars under the “Ibanez Salvador” name, which was later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez began manufacturing electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when it started producing guitars based on American designs. By the late 1970s, Ibanez stopped producing derivative instruments and began manufacturing the innovative, original guitar and bass designs that the company is now known for. Ibanez is also famous for its effect pedals, most notably the Tube Screamer. Sweetwater is proud to offer you such a fine line of distinguished musical instruments.Ibanez SR Standard SR305E Features: Electric bass guitar with fast playability and broad tonal range Sleekly contoured nyatoh body exudes anytime comfort and performance 5-piece maple/walnut bolt-on neck with SR5 profile imbues your sound with rich harmonic depth and accommodates numerous play styles Jatoba fingerboard with 24 medium frets offers ample tone-crafting territory with crystalline sonic character PowerSpan Dual Coil neck and bridge pickups supply hard-hitting yet flexible tones Active 3-band EQ and Power Tap switch nail a wide range of sound-shaping possibilities SpecificationDetail Model SR305E Number of Strings 5 Left-/Right-handed Right-handed Body Shape Standard SR305EB Doublecut Body Material Nyatoh Color Wine Red Frozen Matte Body Finish Gloss Polyurethane Neck Material 5-piece Maple/Walnut Neck Shape SR5 Neck Joint Bolt-on Radius 12" Fingerboard Material Jatoba Fingerboard Inlay Dots Number of Frets 24 Scale Length 34" Nut Material Plastic Tuners Ibanez Neck Pickup Ibanez PowerSpan Dual-coil pickup Bridge Pickup Ibanez PowerSpan Dual-coil pickup Controls 1 x volume, 1 x balance, 3-band EQ Switching 3-way tap switch (series/parallel/coil-split) Strings .045-.130 Case/Gig Bag Sold Separately RETURN INFORMATION We want you to be completely happy with your purchase from Sweetwater.
