Moreover, the 12-inch radius and medium-jumbo frets provide you with an effortless foundation for expressive bends. As for the tone, neck- and middle-position Player II Noiseless Strat pickups sing with hum-free chime and shimmer, while the bridge-position Player II Modified Humbucker dishes out a high-power dual-coil wallop with ample output and articulation. And if you’re in the mood for standard SSS Strat sonics, you can even flip the push-pull Tone knob to access authentic single-coil bite. For the guitarist who demands a Strat with unparalleled stability and performance, the Player II Modified Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose delivers big — all without sacrificing the style and sound that made the model a classic in the first place.High-speed modern C maple neck A maple foundation in Fender’s fan-favorite modern C profile starts this 6-string off with a speedy feel, further bolstered by the neck’s slick satin finish. Topside, the Player II Modified HSS Floyd Rose ups the ante with a 12-inch-radius fingerboard — a significantly flatter radius than the standard Player II HSS model — to ensure that even your wildest multi-step bends sing with a clear, buzz-free voice. And arguably most impressively, the Fender Player II Modified Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose’s neck brandishes rolled edges that glide against your palm with an almost frictionless feel.Noise-free single-coil shimmer paired with humbucking heat Equipped with both hard-hitting humbucking firepower and uncompromisingly authentic single-coil sounds, Fender’s Player II Modified Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose pickups take on everything from screaming, gain-laden riffage to classic Strat spank with the flip of a switch. First up, the neck- and middle-position Player II Modified Noiseless Stratocaster pickups provide you with a clear, complex, and dynamic single-coil Stratocaster voice that performs without the faintest bit of 60-cycle hum. These tones balance beautifully against the warm, powerful output of the Alnico II Player II Modified Humbucker. Plus, you can even flip up the push-pull Tone pot to transform the humbucker into a single-coil for classic SSS Strat tones. Finally, it’s all topped off with a treble bleed circuit that retains clarity when you roll down the Volume knob.Dive-bomb to your heart’s content “Leo got it right the first time” is an oft-repeated mantra among Sweetwater’s Fender obsessives, and there’s no denying that the Strat’s Synchronized tremolo has provided guitarists everywhere with stable, solid pitch-shifting shimmer from the moment it launched in 1954. That said, while the Strat’s stock trem excels in almost every pitch-bending application in the book, there’s no beating a Floyd Rose for decked dive-bombs and wild harmonic squeals. Thus, Fender’s Player II Modified series offers a collection of HSS Strats that boast Floyd Rose Special tremolos, locking nuts, and bar string trees, allowing you to perform extreme vibrato flourishes with lock-tight tuning stability.Fender II Modified series: a musical joyride Like a tuned-up classic car, Fender’s Player II series injects all-time classic designs with a high-octane dose of power and performance. Home to hot-rodded editions of Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass models, the Player II Modified series features timeless touches, including quality tonewoods, rolled fingerboard edges, and legendary body shapes. Meanwhile, a barrage of high-performance upgrades, including new noiseless pickups, elevated electronics, and reimagined hardware, deliver a souped-up playing experience. It all equates to an inventive line that beautifully complements the essence of what has made Fender the go-to choice for musicians since 1946.
