This highly sought-after Fujigen-made Fender Japan model, the ST57-53, is inspired by the 1950s Stratocaster. Based on the serial number, this instrument was manufactured between 1993 and 1994. This highly sought-after Fujigen-made Fender Japan model, the ST57-53, is inspired by the 1950s Stratocaster. The pickguard has been replaced with a black 3-ply version, giving it a look reminiscent of a ’70s Stratocaster. Additionally, the tremolo block has been replaced with a slightly thinner, American Standard-style unit, resulting in a cleaner sound compared to the original specification. The bridge saddles have also been replaced, and since it appears that several other parts have been swapped out as well, this guitar is available at an affordable price. You can customize it further to your liking, or use it as-is as a player’s guitar. We highly recommend this guitar not only to those looking for a modified model but also to players of all levels, from beginners to advanced. It has been serviced by our in-house repair department. [Maintenance Details] Complete cleaning Cleaning and retightening of the electronics (switches, pots, jacks) Complete setup (string action, truss rod adjustment, octave, pickup height, tremolo adjustment) The neck is currently set up with a slight forward bow, close to straight. String action at the 12th fret is set to: 6th string: approx. 1.7 mm 1st string: approx. 1.5 mm . The truss rod has room for adjustment in both directions. The frets are original but have been leveled; they have approximately 60% of their original depth remaining. The electronics have been cleaned and inspected; there are currently no issues such as crackling. The pickguard, tremolo block, and bridge saddles have been replaced. The backplate and tremolo arm are missing.
