Please contact your Sweetwater Sales Engineer with any questions.Bartolini’s Original “Hi-A” design Bill Bartolini’s initial pickup designs — dubbed “Hi-A” — were aimed at bringing the rich and complex tonal characteristics of acoustic instruments to electric basses and guitars. To accomplish this, Bartolini developed a pickup system with a highly asymmetric magnetic field similar to the natural asymmetric response of acoustic instruments inherent to their bridge structures. Why is asymmetric response important? Because it puts more emphasis on the attack of a note, accentuating its harmonic content, which lies at the center of an instrument’s tone. For players, that means having an instrument that will sound instantly more musical, respond with enhanced precision, and allow for a higher level of expressiveness.Bartolini b-axis J44J-L/S B-Axis 4-string J-Bass Pickup Set Features: Hum-free split-coil configuration Asymmetric response accentuates harmonic content Alnico V magnet with exposed pole design for punch and aggression Fully encapsulated coils reduce feedback and protect against sweat and grime Passive design accommodates passive or active controls and onboard preamps SpecificationDetail Type Set: Single-coil Format J-style Active/Passive Passive Magnet Material Alnico V Number of Strings 4 DC Resistance 10.2K (bridge), 9.4K (neck) Number of Conductors 1 wire plus braided shield Features Split-coil (both) RETURN INFORMATION We want you to be completely happy with your purchase from Sweetwater.
