The japanning on the body & frog was cleaned very well then given a coat of wax.All the hardware was cleaned and oiled. All screw holes cleaned and oiled.Rosewood Tote and knob are excellent. Both have been waxed and polished. The cheeks were hand lapped. rail's were cleaned & smoothed out.The sole was hand lapped & the edge's relieved to enhance planes performance.
