The Stanley logo blade, is nearly full length, it is straight and has been freshly sharpened with correct 25 degree bevel. This plane was manufactured from 1933 to 1941 or nearly 90 years ago. The premium Brazilian Rosewood handles are original and beautiful, no cracks, splits, breaks or repairs. Vintage, and excellent condition Stanley Bailey No 5 jack plane. It is approx 14 inches long with a blade width of 2 inches. It has the features of a type 16, everything appears to be all original. This plane was manufactured from 1933 to 1941 or nearly 90 years ago. This plane will last another long lifetime with normal maintenance. Metal bed and all other metal parts are fine, no cracks breaks, or repairs. I placed a straight edge along the sole and it appears perfectly straight, no warping, see photo. The premium Brazilian Rosewood handles are original and beautiful, no cracks, splits, breaks or repairs.
