For sale is this antique Atha 3 lb. overall, with handle. The steel is in very good overall condition, showing only normal use and wear, as pictured, with no personal markings from previous owners. For sale is this antique Atha 3 lb. sledge hammer, weighing 3lbs.8 oz. overall, with handle. Signed with the famous "A" within the horseshoe logo for Atha , and "780 3" on one side, and "Made In U.S.A." on the other side, the head measures 4-1/8" long with 1-13/16" wide X 1-5/8" octagonal faces. The steel is in very good overall condition, showing only normal use and wear, as pictured, with no personal markings from previous owners. The 10-1/4" long wooden is sound, but with a crack, and some chip-out at the heel, as shown in the last three{3} pictures. Atha stopped manufacturing under this name in 1914, making this hammer over 110 years old.
