Vintage / Pre-owned – Good overall condition with age-related wearVintage 11-piece Italian Nativity set. Figures are relatively substantial/heavy and appear to be made of a chalkware, plaster or similar composition material. They have hand-painted details and a nicely aged appearance. The set shows normal evidence of age and use, including paint wear, small surface marks, discoloration, rubbing and possible minor edge/chip wear. I do not see an obvious major break in the photographs, but these are older composition figures and buyers should expect imperfections consistent with their age. Please examine all photographs closely for the exact condition and contents of the set.DescriptionAttractive vintage Made in Italy Nativity/Christmas crèche figure set, consisting of 11 individual figures. The set includes:Baby Jesus in mangerVirgin MaryJosephThree Wise Men / MagiShepherd carrying a sheepDonkeyOx/cowTwo sheepThe figures have a traditional European/Italian appearance with individually painted faces, garments, animals and bases. The colors have developed an appealing muted, aged appearance rather than the brighter finish found on many modern reproduction sets. The figures feel somewhat heavy for their size and appear consistent with vintage chalkware/plaster or another molded composition. Because I have not tested the material, it is being described as chalkware/plaster-type composition rather than guaranteed as chalkware.Marked Made in Italy [assuming you have actually found this marking on the figures].No stable, box or other accessories are included—11 figures only, exactly as pictured.
