View NICE! Stanley Bailey No. 5 Type 17 / 16 Jack Plane Box Sharp Blade Vintage USA with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Super nice low use plane. Kidney shape, has straight etching on the brass adjuster, Frog seems closer to 17 then what I see as the normal Standard 16. Everything is nice and sharp and really clean I think the most noticable thing might be a whiteish dot of haze on the rear handle. Super nice low use plane. Seems to be a either a early type 17 or a late type 16 but please double check me.Kidney shape, has straight etching on the brass adjuster, Frog seems closer to 17 then what I see as the normal Standard 16. So It would appear to me be approx a type 17 or 16 plane.Paint is original and its nice not chipped not problematic. It came stored in a box which can be included poor shape no label so not sure if it will add any value. Box had a heavy wax paper in it so that seems to have protected it but some of the wax still is in places like the rear button on the cap and makes it look like color or a smudge look on the paint but though a little soap and water cleaned it up quite nice there may be a spot here or there it may need another light wipe down in a spot here or there.Everything is nice and sharp and really clean I think the most noticable thing might be a whiteish dot of haze on the rear handle. It came with no rust. The throat and blade seem right. Its just a nice survivor in my opinion. Its not new but its certainly very nice in my opinon. Please review pictures please let me know of any questions. Condition: Used.
