The only modification is that the bridge has been replaced with a Badass bridge. The serial number is S8 + 6 digits, and although the pickup dates are faded, both the front and rear pickups appear to be from 1979. Based on the above, we have determined this instrument to be from 1979.With an ash body and maple fretboard, the heavy weight characteristic of this era produces a clear and bottom-heavy sound that is very pleasing, especially when slapping, producing a crisp and thick sound. The condition shows sticker residue and considerable paint fading, but it has a nice, vintage feel. The frets appear to have been leveled, and although there is little fret life remaining, the current height is approximately 2.5mm at the 12th fret of the 4th string and approximately 2.1mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string. Due to the bridge and fret design, there is no room for adjustment of the 1st string height, so please note that it cannot be lowered. The truss rod is functioning and has no remaining adjustment range.
