The Squier Classic Vibe Active '70s Jazz Bass V brings the iconic look and feel of a golden era into the hands of today's players, adding a modern, active twist for ultimate tonal flexibility. That stunning Ocean Turquoise finish and bound maple neck with pearloid block inlays? Pure vintage gold. But plug it in, and you'll find a versatile beast ready for any stage or studio.Fender-Designed Noiseless PowerUnder the hood, this J-Bass is loaded with a pair of Fender-Designed Alnico Noiseless pickups. You get all the characteristic growl, punch, and articulation you expect from a great Jazz Bass, but without the 60-cycle hum that can plague single-coils. These pickups deliver a clear, articulate voice that can cut through a mix or sit perfectly in the pocket.Active/Passive VersatilityHere's where it gets really fun. Squier included an active preamp with a simple mini-toggle to switch between classic passive mode and a modern active circuit. In passive mode, you've got that timeless, warm J-Bass tone. Flip the switch to active, and you engage a powerful treble and bass boost control, perfect for sculpting punchy slap tones, adding subterranean lows, or giving your sound some extra cut and aggression. It's like having two basses in one.Built to PerformThe smooth, comfortable "C" shape maple neck with its tinted gloss finish just feels right. Combined with a modern 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and narrow-tall frets, it's a joy to play. Up top, the bone nut enhances resonance and sustain, while down below, the HiMass bridge provides rock-solid tuning stability and a noticeable increase in punch and body. This bass isn't just about looks; it's a serious player's instrument.Key reasons why your next instrument should come from Moore Guitars:- Moore Guitars is a Top 300 Seller by Reverb and a Top 100 Music Retailer by NAMM! - We love trade-ins!
