This Antique Ronson lighter has older patent numbers and a marking of a B with a circle around it. This Ronson Whirlwind Lighter comes with original fabric sleeve as part of the sale.According to a vintage lighter collector:“The Whirlwind was a long-running model series first produced in 1941 and until 1956. These featured a wind shield that could easily be pulled up to protect the flame in windy conditions. On the earliest models the wind screen has "Ronson / Whirlwind / us pat. 2,002,845" embossed on it. ”Patent markings on my lighter for sale (see photos):• US Patent RE 19023 • Canada 288,148 • Britain 291,625 (on bottom)• Cannot test as I don’t have proper fuel. I’m not educated on how to use this older lighter so I don’t want to open it and potentially ruin any functionality. Both caps on bottom are opened/closed with coins. The lighter has scratches from use/wear and tear. The last photo is proof that this lighter indeed was produced during 1941 to 1956. Condition: Used.
