Following the success of the Precision Bass, and later released in the form of the Jazz Bass, it continues to influence the music scene to this day. This particular Precision Bass, shipped around 1975, features an ash body and a natural finish.[Body]The overall weight is approximately 4.5kg. The body is made of ash wood. A natural finish is used to highlight the beauty of the wood grain. Overall, there is some weather checking, paint peeling due to aging of the clear topcoat, dents, and tarnishing of metal parts such as the control knobs. While relatively clean, it has a good vintage feel. The center screw of the pickguard is broken and no longer functional. Other metal covers are missing.[Neck]The neck is made of one piece of maple. While there is some weather checking, mainly on the headstock, and some tarnishing on the metal parts, the guitar remains in excellent condition thanks to the refinishing of the fretboard and neck during the refretting process. The tuners function properly, although there is some slight variation in winding tension. The frets and nut have been replaced and leveled using a PLEK machine by our shop, resulting in superb playability. The headstock thickness is 13.6mm. The nut width is 41.0mm, and it features a B-neck profile with a relatively sturdy neck shape.[Electronics]The controls are a simple master volume/master tone setup with a single pickup. The control components, including the pickup, are in excellent condition, retaining their original state. It boasts a tight, focused bass tone characteristic of ash-bodied Precision Basses, with a pleasingly forward midrange that ensures it doesn't get lost in a band mix. With the tone knob rolled down, you get a thick, sustained sound; with it fully open, you get a bright, crisp tone reminiscent of the 70s. As you can see from the artists who used Precision Basses during this period, it's a versatile instrument that's easy to use across a wide range of genres.Accessories: Fender molded hardshell caseWeight: 4.5kgBody Material: White Ash 2 pieceNeck Material/Scale Length: Maple 1 piece/864.0mm (34inch)Fingerboard/Fret Marker: Maple 1 piece/Black dot/184.15mm (7.25inch)Nut Width/Fret Size: 41.0mm (replaced)/2.8mm (replaced), 20 FretsNeck Thickness (1F/7F/12F): 21.8mm/24.1mm/24.8mmCapacitor: Dilectron CircleD 100VPickup: Fender Precision Bass Split Pickup Gray Bobbin (10.7kΩ)*The DC resistance value of the pickup is measured through the control section.Product DetailsFender/VINTAGE Precision Bass '75 Natural/MCondition: B+: No problems for normal use.
