An ORIGINAL GROOVE CUTTER CAP IRON AND SCREW for a Stanley No. 147 double tongue and groove plane by STANLEY. The original early type nickel plated cast iron tension screw and the screw to secure the cap to the plane body are included with the cap. These caps were particularly susceptible to breakage as they would crack at the tip when excessive tension was applied by the tensioning screw.
